Biography

Lhykis is the newest of the Phoenix Lords to receive a physical form — the 2025 plastic kit has finally given her the tabletop presence her legend deserves — yet her history is anything but new. She founded the Warp Spiders in the aftermath of the Fall, creating a mode of warfare built around the terrifying precision of warp teleportation: warriors who blink through the immaterium in fractional jumps, appearing behind enemy lines to unleash their deathspinners before vanishing again before a response can be coordinated. Against Warp Spiders there is no defensive line to hold, no redoubt that offers safety — they simply appear where you are not defended.

Where most Phoenix Lords seek the decisive confrontation — the kill at the heart of the enemy line — Lhykis has always been interested in something more subtle. She builds situations. She threads her warriors through the seams of the enemy formation, positions them at the exact crossing points of fate's web, and then pulls. The kill is incidental. The collapse of the enemy's entire strategic position is the point. When Lhykis takes the field, commanders who watch only the obvious threats find their flanks have vanished and their retreat cut off before they understood they were being manoeuvred.

"The web is already around you. I am simply drawing it tight."

MELEE WEAPON
The Blade of the Whispering Web
A psychically resonant power blade that hums at the frequency of the skein itself — those cut by it feel the threads of their fate unravelling. In Lhykis's hands it moves with eerie precision, each strike guided not by combat calculation but by foreknowledge, landing where the enemy will be rather than where they are. The teal energy discharge leaves trails in the air like torn webbing.
RANGED WEAPON
The Lhykhaine
A twin-linked deathspinner of extraordinary sophistication, projecting monofilament webs that slice through anything they contact at a molecular level. Lhykis designed it to complement Warp Spider teleport doctrine — fired in the fractional seconds between blink-jumps, the monofilament strands hang in the air and catch enemies still reacting to the previous position. By the time a target understands the geometry of the web, they are already inside it.
ARMOUR
The Armour of the Hidden Path
Jet-black wraithbone armour with a lacquered finish that absorbs light rather than reflecting it — in the right conditions, Lhykis simply is not visible to any optical or auspex system, appearing as a shadow that moves with purpose. The crimson pauldrons and chest-piece channel the spirit stones of the warriors whose essences reside within: each of them a Warp Spider, each carrying the memory of ambushes perfectly executed and enemies who never saw what ended them.
RELIC
The Lightning Mantle
A crackling halo of captured psyker energy that surrounds Lhykis in combat — visible as jagged arcs of teal electricity that leap from the Mantle's psychocrystalline matrix to strike at enemies who close to melee range before they can swing. It also scrambles targeting systems within a radius, blinding guided munitions and forcing attackers to rely on iron sights against a Phoenix Lord who already knows where they will aim.
