Biography

Jain Zar was the first of Asurmen's students to master the Warrior Path and found her own Aspect Shrine. Where Asurmen embodies discipline and the perfection of defence, Jain Zar is pure offensive fury — a storm of blades that strikes in eerie silence before the psychic scream tears through the enemy's will. She is the oldest of the Phoenix Lords after Asurmen himself, and her legend stretches across ten thousand years of Aeldari warfare.

Unlike many Phoenix Lords whose shrines are scattered across dozens of Craftworlds, Jain Zar has maintained the closest connection to Biel-Tan — the Craftworld of rebirth and reconquest. She has died and been reborn more times than any Aeldari can count, each time a new warrior donning the ancient armour of the Storm of Silence and inheriting the memories and fury of every bearer before them. In the wake of Biel-Tan's fracturing, she has allied with the Ynnari, seeing in the Whispering God a chance to break the cycle of death and rebirth that binds all Phoenix Lords.

An executioner's weapon of terrible beauty, forged in the dying light of a star. Its edge cuts through armour, flesh, and spirit with equal ease — a silent blade that leaves only ruin in its wake.

A tri-blade throwing weapon of ancient Aeldari design that returns to the wielder's hand after striking. It spirals through the air without sound, severing heads and limbs before the enemy hears the Banshee's cry.

The original suit of Howling Banshee armour, containing the accumulated spirit memories of every warrior who has borne the name Jain Zar. It resonates with psychic energy that amplifies the war-scream to devastating effect.
WAR MASK
Banshee Mask
The iconic psychosonic war mask of the Howling Banshees, projecting a scream that paralyses enemies with pure terror. Jain Zar's mask is the original — the template from which all others were made.
